About the only thing that really fails my personal quality check is the fact that few (if any) settigns actually take into account the full potential of the standard D&D magic. Many people poo-poo Eberron but at least the attempt is made to reflect the sheer power of a setting with level 20 mages, active interventionist Gods, exotic creatures, intelilgent nonhumanoids, etc.

I'm starting to think that I *should* publish my setting, which is specifically made to answer the questions "where did magic come from?" and "what would a magical society really look like?"

What's missing in published campaign settings? Me! As an NPC. And where can you find me as an NPC? That's right, Scarred Lands. ;) Specifically, Shelzar: City of Sin, page 95. ;)
