Adventures Dark and Deep Core Rules 2nd Printing

My understanding is that Adventures Dark and Deep is at base a What If? alternative universe concept of what if Gary Gygax had stayed at TSR and headed up the 2nd ed revision. Joe Bloch took 1E and went over all Gary's statements about what he might want to do with 2E, and came up with a take. It's its own game that's highly compatible with 1E but with new content and much cleaner editing.

OSRIC is at core a reference for and clarification of the 1E rules, rather than a new but closely-related game.

Yes, it is an evolution of post-UA AD&D 1e. Loads of options and crunch. It has also back-ported Gary's skill system which he introduced in Castle Zagyg (fundamentally, skills cost XPs to purchase).

I got a chance to skim over it and really impressed with it. Will certainly be an OSRIC replacement for me since improvements on the system is more important to me than just a recreation.

That said, not sure if it will actually ever hit my table due to lack of interest from other players. Think I have a much better chance at running ACKS II due to the endgame conquest mechanics.

@LordBP What other OSR systems do you have? Which ones have you ran or plan to run?

I own most of them (Shadowdark, Adventures Dark and Deep, Swords and Wizardry, Dungeon Crawl Classics, Labyrinth Lord, Castles and Crusades, Torchbearer, Old School Essentials, Basic Fantasy RPG, Forbidden Lands, Shadow of the Demon Lord, and others that I'm not remembering currently).

Don't really have time to run/play with any of them as my hobby time is random and I prefer very hard/challenging games, which the hobby seems to be leaning away from, so I usually just play video games (WoW, Diablo 2, Path of Exile, etc) in hardcore mode.
