Adventures for low levels with lots of intrigue?

DK

First Post
Hi everybody!

I'm looking for some good low level adventures that include lots of intrigue: me and my group don't like so much dungeon crawl adventures (that seems pretty popular nowadays!).

Do you have any suggestions? I'm looking for adventures to tie togheter that cover levels 1 to 10.

Thanks!

Dungeon magazine. The Savage Tide or Age of Worms adventure paths.

Not very much intregue, but.....that's the closest thing that comes to mind.

At the Edge of Dreams by Monkey God Enterprises. The fairy prince has been killed, and you need to figure out who did it and why before the Fairy Queen brings her hoard. Lots of little surprises that may or may not play out depending on how you run it (such as the clric who hated fey is the son of one...).

The adventure even comes with stats for new creatures, new critter templates, and other goodies. You'll still get use out of it after you've completed the adventure.

Dark Harbor by Fiery Dragon Press. Yes, it's for Iron Heroes. However, it's extremely easy to adapt to D&D (the only needed change is to convert "defense" to AC, and eliminate damage reduction for armor). Even the zones (essentially special terrain features and triggered options) can be used in D&D without the need for conversion.

The Freeport series of adventures is also good.

T1 Village of Hommlet
N1 Against the Cult of the Reptile God
L1 Secret of Bone Hill followed by L2 Assassin's Knot
U1 Sinister Secret of the Saltmarsh, U2 Danger at Dunwater, U3 Final Enemy
B6 Veiled Society
B4 Lost City

from Dungeon Magazine #4 Trouble at Grog's

I'd second the suggestion of Freeport. There's a free True20 conversion of the first adventure, Death in Freeport at http://true20.com/files/DeathInFreeportTrue20.pdf
Just reading it will give you a sense of whether this setting is right for you or not.

Green Ronin has come out with several adventures for the setting, and if I recall, is currently working on a new ruleset-neutral campaign book.

Here's the link to the entire Freeport product line
