Adventuring while pregnant

was making a list of things that would radically change her... one of them happened to be pregnancy...

So, it's not just the DM's doing...
Innuendo theater presents... :)

Be gay! It's what I did, no chance of pregnacy then!
Oh sure, it's all well and good until someone slips and falls onto a girdle of femininity/masculinity that some careless sort left laying about.

A female PC IMC recently had quadruplets, and she brings all four kids with her when adventuring!

Admittedly, she's a halfdragon and the father's a great wyrm... Acutally she's more than half, she's 3/4 dragon, making the kids 7/8. I told her to roll up the stats as though the babies were standard wyrmlings.

Hey, wouldn't make her, for all intents and purposes, a full dragon with humanoid genes?

Ow, my brain!

Lastly, if we leave death up to the dice-- why not pregnancy?? (and really, what changes a character MORE than the reaper?)
Death doesn't change your character, it causes you to get a new character:) (if you can't be raised, or don't wish to be). And well, I've been known to fudge the dice if a character death is likely, the death wasn't caused by PC stupidity, and resurrection is impossible.

heh. our paladin in the group married his gold-dragon mount. (yes, that is as weird as it sounds - and all too funny at times!) she turned up pregnant with his half-dragon baby, so she is now a stay-at-home mom-to-be. wacky! :)

plus, the DM ruled that if she polymorphs the baby dies - so no more bizarro hanky panky. ;)

Hmm, I can just imagine that conversation when the kid turns 16:

"Mom, I've decided to become a ranger."
"But Justin, I thought we'd agreed you'd become a paladin. Everyone knows rangers never amount to anything. I need a cohort who can detect evil and lay on hands!"
"STOP TRYING TO RUN MY LIFE!" [Slams bedroom door, begins to play loud music]
[Mom places palm on door, whispers softly]"Just please Pelor, don't let him be a bard."

Well, that's what I ruled her children would be, anyway. As for her, she started out as a standard human sorcerer. Then she entered the Dragon Disciple PrC; T&B version, this was long before 3.5 came out. As you know, DD makes you become more and more draconic and at level 10 you have -for all intents and purposes- accuired the half-dragon template.

A few levels later, she started on epic progression of DD, becoming even more of a dragon. By now (sor7/DD19/dragon mystic5) she's got the the wing slam attacks, tail slap, she's grown to size Huge and is going steady with a great wyrm... I figure she must be at least 3/4 dragon by now.
