Advice for a goliath fighter with faith.

I have a player with a 1st level goliath fighter, he carries a large bastard sword and has the exotic weapon prof feat (using his 1st fighter feat) for it. The character is wearing half-plate mail be wants to multiclass into cleric at 2nd level.

The player would like to know what to spend his 'other' feat slot on, bearing in mind he likes to be a combat dude mostly and loves to deal damage and intimidate his foes.

Oke.

Sounds like a good idea as the goliath has 22 strength (32 points buy) +1 BAB and a masterwork weapon.

I'm going to say no to power attack, assuming he took EWP in order to wield the bastard sword one handed. Using power attack a 1-1 ratio isn't really worth it. Now, if he was going to wield a big two hander you can't really go wrong with power attack and cleave.
