D&D 5E Advice needed (new to 5E, but not to gaming)

Nord Games has books and card decks. Things like critical hit decks and treasure decks.
They've done some books of NPCs/ monsters as well. Skulduggery is a book of classed NPCs of a rogueish slant that can work as pre-gen characters or NPCs. Revenge of the Horde is a big book of variant monsters, such as kobolds, orcs, and gnolls.
(Disclaimer: I have done some work for Nord Games... so potential bias.)

Kobold Press has a monster book Tome of Beasts (my review) and the Midgard Heroes Handbook, that has a LOT of generic PC options.
Plus they have some adventures and the like. I probably use the ToB every other session. It's great.
(Disclaimer: I have two monsters in the Tome of Beasts... so, again, potential bias.)

There's a lot of stuff on the Dungeon Master's Guild, with most of that being PDF-only.
The DM's Guild Adept book Xanathar's Lost Notes to Everything Else is available as a Print on Demand book.
Matt Mercer, the DM of the hit streaming show Critical Role has done some PDF stuff on the Guild as well. His Blood Hunter class is even on D&D Beyond, being the only non-Core class freely available. (And while I'm shilling, I've done some DMsGuild stuff as well, found here.)
