Hello, I'm playing a elvin rogue. i'm 10th level withe the feats point blank shot, precise shot, rapid fire and improved initiative. i was considering taking some levels in ranger. Any suggetions?

Remember the xp penalty!

Unless you want to spend 9 levels of ranger catching up or you're willing to suck up the 20% xp penalty permanently- and sometimes it's worth it in either case (I played a dwarven ranger to 6th then added rogue levels up to 7th)- I'd stay away from the ranger levels. Next time go multiclassed early, or choose a favored class for it.

Well, why are you taking levels of Ranger? The wilderness stuff is good. But the skills, a big point for the Rangers, is not as good as rogue. The spells will take a little while for you to get so might not be worth it then.

reasons

I more of a scout than rogue and thought the track and wilderness lore would play in well. Also the two hand weapon fighting might balance my ranged attack nicely.
