There is some wonderful world-building going on behind this project, and I really enjoyed reading Allan's process as being a dialogue between more personal and more design-oriented.

Whenever I see an ethnic fantasy setting rpg, I get a bit apprehensive because more often than not, it’s from a white creator. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing (it’s possible to have a white person do appropriate research), but historically there’s this weight of cultural appropriation tied to it.
So needless to say, I’m thrilled Allen is a person of color tackling this African themed project so people won’t even question a risk of cultural appropriation, and it looks like he’s done a TON of research, which is another huge plus. Also, it’s another big plus to see so many of depictions African women and it feels perfectly in setting.

Basically, shut up and take my money. This is good for our hobby.

I would play something like this as a convention to try it out, but most likely not play it as part of my regular campaign. I think I'm too stuck in my 'traditional' sense of play over 30+ years.

Depending on how it's set up I might play it.

Not interested in fantasy not Zulu but fantasy Kush, Makuria, Mali, Songhai, and the trans Sahel is a lot more interesting.
