African D&D Settings?

Okay -- I've got AFRICAN ADVENTURES, ANCESTRAL VAULT, and the solitary AFRICAN ADVENTURES module (DIRE SPIRITS), and I *love* them all. (In fact, Atlas Games, if you're listening, come out with more supplements! ;) )

I was wondering if anyone could recommend any other African or pseudo-African D&D stuff, particularly adventure modules. It doesn't have to be 3.0/3.5 -- I don't mind converting modules. I've got a couple of 1st edition modules that could be converted to an African setting (like "Dwellers of the Forbidden City"), but it'd be nice to have something that had a little more historical background (and particularly, sympathetically portrayed African-esque cultures) rather than just being some generic wilderness with a jungle.

I seem to remember that there was some vaguely African world or locale ("Island of Something-something") for 2nd edition, but I don't know if it was any good. But I'm willing to look for it.

Thanks!

Jason

Interesting. As an african myself I have been dying to find a jungle orientated play guide I could use if I ever manage to actually DM a real game. Now that I know there are some out there, I will be keeping my eye out for them. thanks!

Nyambe is very cool. My wife's dwarf fighter (Ta'Vanka, nominee for the WAR contest :) ) picked up a Nyambian "dwarf" cohort. Neither spoke the same language, but she collected heads, and he was a cannibal (preferring the heart). A match made in blood-drenched heaven. :)

Dragon magazine has covered Africa a few times for monsters and specialty priest, along with other articles for weapons. Palladium actually has a book of exotic weapons that has several weapons born in Africa.

Nyambe is the 3.0 base default and does a good job.

Prior to that, Aeshiba- Greek Africa, was done by that company that did Cyborg Commandos and other supplements like a town that worshipped Elemental Style Gods and had Gary Gygax's seal of approval, although I vaguely recall some rumors of Gary getting the short end of the stick in that case.

Conan has several land masses that could be considered 'African' but only a nod to it really. Same with the old Atlantis setting by Bard Games.
