After the Bomb (2001)

Mutant Future!

In other mutant news... I recently learned that Goblinoid Games is about to release Mutant Future RPG. Basically a retro-clone of a certain Mutant Sci-Fantasy RPG from many years ago. Looks pretty cool! I'm hoping to give it a try on my gaming group.

I find this to be the case with most of the Palladium games. Love the fluff, hate the crunch.

DINGDINGDING!! Michael wins the thread!

I completed my collection of TMNT and ATB original edition stuff when I lived in Iowa but never have taken a look at the new version.

I was a fan of the original but haven't seen the new one yet. I've been checking the local stores, but nothing. I'm not up for ordering it as it's just to read over, but still.

http://www.palladiumbooks.com/ might have a bit more info and Kevin sells books online when they aren't being stolen from the warehouse by an employee.

I'd be really thrilled if he would publish the additional supplements mentioned in AtB (2001). It has been *seven* years...

Well Erick is terminally ill with cancer, so I doubt if we will see anymore AtB stuff from him. Real shame he's super talented and a really nice guy!
There's been a few interesting AtB articles in The Rifter, a recent one had some cool stuff for the city of "Filly", the Jersey Devil mutants were particularly nasty.

Erick has my deepest sympathies. I expect that he will spend his remaining time with his family.

But he (and Palladium) had seven years to do something. That isn't what I call customer support. Especially when they mention in AtB (2001) future supplements. Just another example of Palladium and its Mad Creator failing their audience.

FWIW, GURPS is similar (IMHO): a series of truly great sourcebooks- especially the well-researched RW stuff- hampered by mechanics loved by but a few. Check out the Non-D20 threads here, and you'll probably find a lot more love for their sourcebooks than for the system itself. Even GURPS haters like myself will buy the occasional sourcebook or two...or five.

Or, er...57 (if you count all the Transhuman Space books, including the three e-books I purchased from e23) >.>
