Aftermath RPG Boards - Now Open! (title edited 2-24-2007)

A news item has been created and will hopefully be up by Monday, but this is to let interested parties know that the board has been created. Titled Aftermath (www.aftermathrpg.com), the new site will be for post apocalyptic gaming discussion and will feature original articles from freelancers who have worked in this genre, including myself, Owen K. C. Stephens, Eric Cagle, Tim Willard, and myself. The site is now open and you are encouraged to register.

I actually became excited when I saw the title for this thread. Wow, I thought ... someone is actually working on an Aftermath RPG campaign! I even went into my RPG vault and dusted off my copies of Aftermath, Morrow Project and Gamma World.

Fantastic memories began to bubble to the surface as I remembered the joy of finding a book of matches that worked ... or a spoon! And the sense of accomplishment I felt when we fought a band of mutant raiders to claim their most prized treasure ... A Can Opener ... is not something that I will ever forget.

That's an interesting idea, and not one I'd be particularly opposed to.

Also, just a quick update, the board is up but it isn't ready for guests just yet. As an added bonus, the site will feature original articles from established RPG designers, which will be periodically posted to the front page. I have two designers who have signed on already, and I'm hoping to add a few more as time goes on.

A note on the level of moderation: it will be slightly more lax than it is at ENWorld, but it will be far from the chaotic free for all of some messageboards. Basically vulgarity will be tolerated, there will be a forum for politics, religion, and news items as they relate to the apocalypse (flaming people who have different beliefs, disagree with your science, or belong to a different political party than you will not be tolerated). Respect towards the other posters will be a requirement and will be enforced.

I'd love to contribute articles of a Post Apocalyptic nature, if you're interested.
