I just hope it stays this good. And the stakes never become the end of the world.
saw Grace Randolphs review of the first four episodes and they said the quality remained throughout - but still cautious about the mid season and 'MCU endings'

I almost stopped watching the first episode. I've never seen the show they were parodying and I was just getting bored until the story picked up. At least it left me wanting to watch the second episode.
Heh, I could've stood to watch a little more "police procedural with minor supernatural powers". But the second episode won me over.

Still going to take a few episodes to warm up to the actual characters, I think - none of them are people I'd actually root for, as yet.

Yeah, at first blush, I was a bit surprised that they got rid of the police procedural element as quickly as they did. But in retrospect, I think it was well done. I'm not really that big into witches, but this show has me hooked. I am keen to see where it goes.

Frankly, I felt the authors abandoned the mystery so quickly as they weren't clever enough to write an actual mystery. I'm really not interested in the silly (and very American) witchy stuff.

Obviously your choice, but its not like they've been coy about what the show was generally going to be about.
