The spell kind of continued in the form of Agatha’s curse. So, if Agatha is still under the curse, Billy can be in it too…

Sure. But it appears that this Billy has taken on the mantle of the Scarlet Witch (or something similar). Maybe Wanda willed him (back) into being with her dying breath or something.

Or maybe some spells just don't die with the caster. I don't generally have spells end when the caster drops in RPGs if they have a specified duration, rather than stating "Concentration."

I’m pretty sure the caster cast several other spells requiring concentration during an altercation with the Sorcerer Supreme. Ergo, any ongoing concentration spells would have ended prematurely.

On the Shadowrun model I think that maintaining concentration spells just makes doing other things more difficult, including casting other spells. At least that's what I remember from 1e.

Thats plausible enough I suppose except we dont know that Wanda actually really died either, so the red flash might indeed have been her last spell reforming Wiccan - or maybe shes a wight possessing a random teens body?

that said we also know from MoM that even though she made the ones she had in Westview from magic, 'real' alternates of Wandas children exist across the multiverse

Don't we? I thought the beginning of this show made that pretty clear. This Wanda's death is how Agatha was able to break free from her spell.

I don't think it's a random teen. I think it's meant to be Billy. IMO they did a good job casting an actor who looks like a grown-up version of the younger Billy actor.

Yeah, and it's entirely possible it will turn out he's from another universe. However, I'm struggling to figure out how / why an alternate universe Billy would come to the main MCU universe. At this point, I think it's more plausible that this is the Billy from WandaVision, but if it isn't, then I sure hope they've got a satisfying explanation as to what he's doing in this universe.

For instance, while this universe's Wanda may have died, the Scarlet Witch part of her may have survived and found a way to reach a Billy from another universe and power him up to be the Billy version of the Scarlet Witch. (Or it could have "rebirthed" the WandaVision Billy). Something like that.

I hope we find out by the end of this show and they don't just leave it as a mystery for some other show / movie to reveal.

Huh? I didn't find it difficult to follow. The movie only showed us two Wandas: 616 Wanda and 838 Wanda.

616 Wanda is the one who went through the events of WandaVision and became the Scarlet Witch. The other Wanda was just living the good single surbuban mom life in Universe 838 until 616 Wanda possessed her.

616 Wanda is the one who sacrificed herself at the end of the film. 838 Wanda is still alive, and she is the most obvious route the MCU could take to reintroduce the character.

So the real question here is which version of Billy are we seeing in this show? Is this the 616 Billy from WandaVision, the 838 Billy from Multiverse of Madness, or some other Billy?
