I think the Lilia trance thing definately has more to it. For example we have seen her a few times in the road trials blurt out seemingly non-sense that she immediately did not remember, so its something they keep bringing up. Chekov's gun and all of that, I would assume that is going to lead to something by the end of the season.

I won't argue this is a mistake, but the idea of a private group building a ship and going into space is more believable now than it was in the 1960s.

There was the recent Polaris Dawn flight that had four private citizens flying through the Van Allen radiation belt. Sounds to me like they were trying to recreate the FF's origin!
