Yeah I think he is. Me I'm not bitter since a) I've not gotten the book and b) I still have Tome of Horrors Orcus to keep my happy.

Eric Boyd started doing a AoW conversion for the Realms for Paizo. Diamond Lake was Daggerford area. Problem is, the conversion is very slow. I imagine the Free City is Waterdeep, except that the Champion games concept (gladitorial combats) is so not Waterdeep IMO.

The conversion is done and published on the Paizo sight through Wormcrawl Fissure. Only one conversion left to go (and that should be very short and fairly obvious after the other conversions).

You know, Mystara wouldn't be bad, either. Thyatis has gladitorial combat -- heck, there's an old module centered around it.

The Wormcrawl Fissure could be in the Broken Lands.

Alhaster could be the Black Eagle Barony, which has seen its share of evil/mismanagement over the year as it is.

Hi Havlo,

I'm DMing our Age of Worms Campaign in Greyhawk and can give a "both thumbs up" rating so far. I did not know that much about the Greyhawk setting before starting it but got several items that got me up to speed.

- The Greyhawk Gazeteer (soft cover)
- The Living Greyhawk Journal vol. 2 (sent by mail)
- The "Doomgrinder" 2E module - best map of the starting region!!!
- Greyhawk: The Adventure Begins
- From the Ashes
- Greyhawk Players Guide

The first one I had and the rest I purchased on the Paizo site. The one thing I could not get hold of was the Greyhawk Boxed Set (does not seem available for download anywhere). I also have a tonne of other resources I got off the web - there's a lot of love for Greyhawk out there if you scratch below the surface.

Anyway, in terms of your original question, Greyhawk has the best feel for the campaign, particularly for some of the signature modules. It just feels right. However, please note that I'm not a fan of FR and I'm luke warm on Eberron so I may not be giving you the best advice.

Best Regards

I'm running AoW in Forgotten Realms and it's fitting fine for me. I've never actually run straight Forgotten Realms setting material before (which was a shocker to me), so this is nice. I really like using the established FR pantheon, as I've never warmed to the Greyhawk deities. Also, I'm not as much of a stickler for setting canon. It seems like the conversions take too many pains to convert Cool NPC A1 into Established FR NPC A1 - I can see why they'd do it for the purists, but its nothing I need. Overall, I'm having no problems running it this way (and my players would never know the difference).

Oh, there is one thing... [SPOILER hidden below]

Vecna is included in the campaign, with cultists worshipping him at the beginning and a certain part of his anatomy appearing later. I want the shock value of his name, which is very much Greyhawk/Ravenloft, so I'm shoehorning him into FR cosmology.
