"Age of Worms" Hardcover?

I don't know if or when it will be released, but as somebody who has next to no interest in Dragon magazine and a huge interest in AOW itself, I sure hope that it happens. 'd buy the hardcover in a heartbeat, but won't drop any money on Dragon as the AOW material is the only thing therein that I have an interest in (the other 95% of each magazine would ultimately be a waste of my money).

Same here.

Comments from the Paizo boards on this subject from the powers that be:

I've skipped a handful of posts that basically reiterate information posted above ("Yes, we've submitted it to WotC," "WotC has not approved it," "We will keep submitting it").

Thanks Glyfair.

Hi there!

It's more or less as has been posted already, regarding an Age of Worms hardcover. WotC owns the rights to everything that appears in Dungeon, and that includes the reprint rights. Before we can go ahead with an AoW hardcover (which I'd love to do, since magazines don't get reprinted and once one of the 12 parts goes out of print... poof! the campaign's got a hole in it for future players), we need to get permission from WotC to do so.

So far, we've not been given the go ahead on the project.

There's no reason to suspect it'll be any different for Savage Tide, so anyone who's interested in running the new Adventure Path in Dungeon should consider picking up the issues as they come out.

For those who have Age of Worms already... the good news is that there's not much needing adjustment to it really. Shackled City had a fair amount of warts (3.0 rules at the start, us not knowing how to pace adventures, us having to cut large parts of adventures, etc.) that compiling into a Hardcover version let us fix. There aren't as many for Age of Worms. Having it in hardcover merely makes it easier to transport. I suppose if/when we DO it up as a hardcover, we'll shore up some of the minor problems and will likely expand upon it here and there... sort of like the extended "Lord of the Rings" movies did.

But for now, the magazines remain the only place to get an Age of Worms fix.

Let the baseless speculation and conspiracy theories begin! :]
Hasbro is ordering WotC to deny this request, so that when they let go the entire D&D RPG staff a day before christmas and put the entire D&D RPG line in the shopping window, Paizo will be better motivated to pay more for the D&D RPG license...

Because it was released, it's became a pretty strong incentive *not* to buy Dungeon magazine. Why bother, when you can pick up the major adventure later, cleaned up and with additional material?

Cheers!

Because Dungeon Adventures contains much more than just the current AP? Seems like a pretty solid incentive to continue buying Dungeon even is a hardback AoW is released.

I really would like an AoW hardcover. I have the dungeon issues but its a real pain in the butt to flick through 12 issues for various things. I'm hoping that we'll see it on shelves within the next year.
