I once played a game with a friend when we both didn't have any dice with us. We just sjust shouted out random numbers and relied on the honour system.

Yeah...after he claimed to have rolled three crits in a row I stopped playing with him.

Pound o Dice from Chessex is great but be warned - you will invaribly get 4-6 d30's (yup d30, not much use nowadays but it might inspired you to make some d30 based crit tables or something). The bag I bought off eBay (for a song - 11.00 US!) was 1 1/4 pounds (yup - weighted 'em) so that was a great deal IMO.

Most of the dice were of the speckled varity with a few solid colours and a few clear ones. I almost got a complete set of black/red dice from my one bag however (just missing the d12 - and who uses that )
