Agianst the Giants

With the release of the ground level map of Steading of the Hill Giants, do people here think this is likely to be their next re-write of the old 1st edition adventures? They've released two sets of maps prior to this (White Plume Mountain and The Tomb of Horrors) and on both occasions later released the adventure on their website.

I certainly hope they do. And given they've called the map Against the Giants, what are the odds that they're going to do the entire series?

We can certainly hope so!

I would be all for it. Hope they go for the whole GDQ series...

Then they can go back and finish the S series...

It's a holdover from the original map.

Yeah, but still - if you are gonna redo the map why not make it in the 3.x default of 5' per box?

Actually, now that I think about it I made the same complaint about the White Plume Mountain map. I forget what the lame excuse was. . . :p

They sure are an orderly and neat bunch of chaotic hill giants. Look at those beds and tables -- well arranged. Feng shui?

All the hill giants are chaotic, except their leader who has OCD and obsessively organizes the furniture. And his combat tactics are "power attack with greatclub...then wash hands for four rounds while counting all the square things in the room"

I wouldn't complain if they redid that adventure, though I think it would take a lot of work for probably little gain to redo the entire Against the Giants adventure.

plus it might hint to the fact that something else is up.

For one thing you'd have to drastically reduce the number of giants or drastically increase the level of the PCs, otherwise it's guaranteed TPK.
