AGMG - pdf or print?

I've settled on purchasing the Advanced Gamemasters Guide, but should I buy the pdf or the print version?

Any particular advantages to either format? (other than the obvious price difference, which would be made even greater when shipping costs are factored in.)

I'd be looking to use the digital version as is - i.e. not printing it - if that helps.

Hmm. I thought about it a bit, and I have to say yours is a tough question to answer.

The AGMG has a lot of bits and pieces, which makes it easy to simply pluck something from it for use in one's campaign.

On one hand, that makes the book one that is pleasant to browse through and read at one's leisure. In that regard, I'd say the print edition is better.

On the other hand, the pdf version would make it easy to simply print out the relevant sections you choose to use, rather than having to page through the entire book everytime you want to use such material.

I bought the print version, since I enjoy sitting and browsing through books like this (another good one is WotC's Unearthed Arcana).

I bought both versions.

How you use it sort of depends on how you tend to use RPG products in general, or products of this type in particular. Largely mechanical books that I am likely to need only excerpts from, I am pretty much happy to have in PDF format only. I also buy PDFs as sort of previews, and then get them in print if I like them and think I would use them frequently.

In this particular case, though there are mechanical bits, much of the book is advice and is something I would likely browse through when planning a game, but doesn't benefit greatly from copy-and-paste capability.

Ah. Well unfortunately I can't get either Paypal OR the other thing to work. So :p any other site perhaps?

Edit: You're point being...what? ;)

A lot of it is prep-oriented material, which I find is just fine in PDF. If I'm going to reference something a lot at the table, I can't stand not having it in print.

There are at least a couple of things -- notably, the slick rules for quickie NPCs -- that you might well want to have in front of you while gaming, though you could always just print them out.
