So here we are at deity number 11. This has been one of the most difficult one yet, and I'm still not sure how I feel about the results but I figured I'd share what I have.

Giasis, also known as The Celestial Aboleth and The Divine Weaver, is the god of devotion, divine magic, and all things divine. Once a powerful but normal aboleth, Giasis was forever changed when they became imbued with the overwhelming godly powers that laid in the very core of the divine domain of the Astral Sea. This newly acquired power gave the Aboleth unlimited access to the weave of divine magic, but it also showed the aberrant being what it meant to be divine. Now, they watch over the ethereal heavens and rule over the other Celestial Paragons and maintain the divine aspect of the weave of magic. Though they are sometimes difficult for mortals to comprehend, those that show true devotion and trust in the Celestial Aboleth always feel their presence even in their darkest hour.

What's your prompt to get the base aboleth form? Its spot on, while mine were still a little off!

So this was the prompt that stared getting good results.

“Massive, beautiful, and elegant D&D fish Aboleth with a row of lilac eyes going down the head, four long tendrils coming out of the back of the head, with star and divine runes all down the body. High quality fantasy anime painting.”
That got me these.

The first picture of the post you quoted then had this prompt.

“Massive, divine, and elegant D&D fish Aboleth with a row of glowing gold eyes going down the head, four long tendrils coming out of the back of the head, with star and divine runes all down the body. High quality fantasy anime painting.”

At some point I switch “fish Aboleth” to “Catfish Aboleth” to get the later pictures. I have found that switching the fish description before putting Aboleth will somewhat affect the body structure (I tried this with angler fish and shark which did in fact work), but some fish work better then others (I tried specifying a nurse shark and it kept giving me great white pictures for example, Angel fish also didn’t do much). Just having Aboleth with no description would get me things like this, which is cool but not what I wanted. Also, adding just D&D Aboleth can get some closer results, but having all three of D&D, fish/type of fish, and Aboleth worked the best from what I’ve tried.

This is also one of those prompts where adding “anime” to the prompt for style actually tend to give better results. Not to say you can’t get ok results without it but for my need adding anime improved the odds. Just in case you do like these better, here are some pics with the first prompt without anime.

I also added things like Full Body to the beginning, and descriptions of things around it or it looking down at something to try to get DALLE-E to show the full body of the creature, which had some decent effects I feel.

Also good luck actually getting a set amount of tendrils or eyes, asking the AI to be specific with that is just asking for frustration. I also had to generate about 254 pictures to get the few I really liked, so just be prepared to have some patience.

So, experimenting with shot angles to see if it makes a difference.

It does n ot seem to make a huge amount of difference. Also, calling for photography terms seems to overwhelm the comic book style tag.

Since Evard's Black Tentatcle apparently is difficult, I gave it a try. But with tentacle being often generating blocked content (too much hentai? does it autocorrect the word for testicle?) it's disappointing. Also, a few batches generated magic cards. 8 boosts wasted.


SDXL take isn't great either. It does tentacles, but they don't look like Evard's tentacles. More like Squid's Tentacles. The best I got is this one:


Yes, Innkeeper, I heard you in the back kitchen spitting in my beer, saying "We won't serve those bloody elves bit...". You're both right and wrong. Wrong, in that my profession isn't bit... it's necromancer. Right, in that you won't serve elves in your tavern. In a few minutes of agonizing strangulation, you won't be in a position to serve anyone either. Except maybe as a raised zombie?

I should really inpaint better hands... SDXL is lame at hands.
