Born more an orc than a human, and raised by a tribe of orcs of the Pomarj, in the central Flanaess near Greyhawk. Mapatan has had a hard time trying to walk through towns of humans of Iuz's realm and Greyhawk and other civilized races. Often discriminated for his strong orc blood, Mapatan developed a constant disdain for everything. Bitter and deluded about the true nature of the world, Mapatan returned to his tribe. But it had changed a lot since he walk away to try luck in the world, and he had changed a lot as well. The tribe also rejected him. Furious and not willing to turn away again, he faced the chief of the tribe. The battle was epic, both warriors exchanging steel, drawing blood from each other, dodging, parrying, riposting and dashing forward to take openings. Finally Mapatan prevailed, and with a demolishing cut, he severed the chief's head from his torso. The head tumbled away, spraying blood. Mapatan proved to be a bad leader for the tribe. After battling with other tribes and human incursions, the warchief decided that his reign was over. In his time as chief, he had many offspring, one of them, a young who proved skilled at leading people, both in battle as in peaceful times, received the power of the chief from Mapatan.
Again, the half orc walked away from his tribe. Where would his path lead him this time? Only a fool hurries time; Mapatan knew that, so he kept walking towards the horizon.

Well rats, I find a Greyhawk/Maure Castle game and it's full. I will gladly toss my name into the ring for alternate if possible.
 

Good job on Mapatan, VV. Just one little issue. I counted that he should have 115 skill points but he has 116. I also like the background. Since the campaign is set in Greyhawk, he could easily have been from one of the orc tribes of the Pomarj. You might want to work that in. The next nearest orc tribes live all the way up in the north near Iuz's realm and Maure Castle is in the central Flanaess near Greyhawk.

As for hit points, I added rule 10 to the OP.

Thanee's Research: The headband of Charisma and belt of Constitution research ultimately fails, but at the end of your research you realize that you probably simply need more reagents. The items are going to cost 50% more than expected. In other words, the formula for the price of these items will be [bonus]^2 * 1500 instead of [bonus]^2 x 1000 as is typical of ability score boost items. You believe that with additional research of 600 gp for each item you will be able to successfully craft them.

The travel cloak research is successful with the following caveats. The item grants the benefits of the endure elements spell only when attempting to resist the effects of environmental cold, making you immune to environmental cold effects (other than those created by magic) and nonlethal damage from hypothermia or freezing temperatures. The cloak may also convert into a tent. In addition it may be activated as a standard action to instantly dry the character off completely as per the spell prestidigitation. It does not allow you to create food or water however.

Thanee's Contacts: Your first contact is a historian and magical knowledge specialist in the employ of the Greyhawk Library. She is a 6th-level adept named Liera. Liera is willing to cast adept spells of 2nd-level or lower for Justine at half the market price (60 gp for 2nd-level spells, 30 gp for 1st-level spells, and 15 gp for 0-level spells; all are cast at 6th-level). She also possesses an extraordinary knowledge of the arcane and grants a +2 circumstance bonus whenever making a Knowledge (arcana) check with her aid. Your second contact is an acolyte in Greyhawk's temple to Pelor named Cruadan. He is a 3rd-level expert who has the ear of the temple's high matriarch, Sarana. He is a 4th-level rogue with connections not just to the Thieves' Guild, but a number of other guilds and organizations within Greyhawk. Because of his position as a guild information broker, Rodish is well-versed in the goings on throughout the city. Rodish has a +9 to Gather Information Knowledge (local) and Sense Motive, and a +8 to Diplomacy. He is apprised of all the typical gossip within the cities that pledge fealty to the Domain of Greyhawk as well as the happenings of neighboring regions and nations such as the Bright Desert, the Wild Coast, the Free City of Dyvers and the Duchy of Urnst.

I noticed a couple things right away Vosa. Mapata is wearing 2 amulets which is a no no and both your belt of giant strength and potions of bull strength give the same type of bonus (enhancement) so won't stack.

History:
Kal-fen's past is one surrounded in dark mystery. Before his alliance and acceptance into 'The Order of the Onyx Veil' not much is known of him before this time. The Order was thought to have been created by a tight knit group of 8 arcane lords wanting to preserve their magic heritage and pass down great and powerful magics to those worthy of their cause. Of course most of what is known of the closed mouth group is purely speculation as no one inside the inner workings of the Order are allowed to speak of what really goes on.

Through his 10 years of service within the Order Kal-fen moved quickly with the ranks of the small gathering of exceptional individuals due to his tireless work ethic and vast knowledge of the arcane and spellcraft nature. Kal-fen is a dark skinned man standing no more than five foot eleven inches tall. His hair was a deep jet back to match his eyes bearing no color other than onyx at all. His attire sticks to mainly black upon black unless he ventures into warmer climates in which he wears a lighter tan color.

In recent months however Kal-fen was sent by his Order to the Bright Desert in search of some unusual arcane activity in the surrounding area. Here on many occasion he would be tasked along side a 'wyrm rider', as Kal calls him, named Roshan, and over the course of the past few encounters had grown a fond liking to his unusual style. Time and time again as he would go out to investigate for his Order there would be the wyrm knight also looking to find out what he could of the situations at hand.

Kal-fen had a worry though that the knight somehow knew more than he should of him and thus even to this day was careful not to unveil too much about his Order or what he was doing in this god forsaken desert. 'To Trust is one thing... to share is another' Kal-fen reminded himself over and over again as the two got to know each other more. Over time Roshan showed himself in prowess and honor that he could be trusted, a trait not warrented to many for Kal.
