@Rathan: If you craft items, you will start at 11th level (as 66,000 XP is the amount for 12th level to the point... so even scribing a single 1st-level scroll (1 XP :D) would be enough to go back to 11th (or rather to never have reached 12th, because it is not possible to go back in level that way ;))). I suppose that downside to crafting is intentional, hence the starting XP value.

Also, you can make your circlet of resistance a vest of resistance... shoulder and torso are fitting slots for saving throw bonuses according to MIC.

actually I was told that is not true... we will start at 12th level... from what Air said we've earned that level.. and if you spend your xp on items... you will not drop a level.. it will just take us longer to get to 13th if you spend xp to craft items....

thanks for the tip on the vest.. it will save me nearly 5 grand!

Well air shot down both the items I wanted to double enchant, (at the standarad X1.5 cost per the DMG), because I didn't have the item creation feats/spells myself. So I wouldn't count on being able to merge any items together or even buy any magic items that aren't actually printed "AS IS" in the DMG.

Rathan your haversack only costs 2000 not 6500. that'll get you a little bit of extra cash, and you might want to consider spell penetration instead of improved initiative for the extra +2 to bypass SR. SR has been the biggest problem with warlocks in 3.5 that I have noticed over the years.

I'm still going back and forth over feats with Air which is why I haven't posted my sheet yet but its mostly done.

Background:
Out of the deep southern deserts this warrior rides on the back of an ashworm covered in massive spiked scales. Sand pours off the armor as they emerge from beneath the dunes together. Roshan came from the nomadic tribes of ashworm herders of a land nobody thought could sustain life at all. Knowing how to ride and tame the worms is in his blood. As a strong boy it was always known that he would be a protector of his people from the back of an ashworm. His armor being polished by the abrasive sands, he rose quickly through the ranks of his family’s great defenders. When his people were laid low by a disease that claimed all but the few protectors that were immune, he had no reason to stay there any longer. The dragoon set out to explore the world beyond. Along the way he found a small group of companions that came to be his new family and gained purpose once more.

Obviously, I cannot speak for airwalkrr here, but I assume, that creating the items yourself does offer some more leeway here (as long as the items do match what the DMG offers). Even when only using the PHB and DMG, the item creation feats allow that, after all.

Vertexx69, the wand of lesser vigor cannot be used by a paladin. The spell is for cleric/druid only.

Apart from that, it probably isn't permitted at character generation, anyways, because of the DMG restriction of items/spells. ;)
