Alan Moore still hates Hollywood

He... uh... what?
Yep, that's Alan Moore.

Its no surprise, though. He has every logical reason to hate Hollywood, and add into that his way of doing things and somewhat eccentric personality means its just not going to change anytime soon.

Its sad, in a way, especially as its looking like Watchmen may finally be the movie that does his work justice.

Those hinged rings that cover the entire finger and look like the fingers of a gauntlet.

I'm getting a bit fed up with Moore's stance. I hope to dear Heaven that Watchmen gets released, gets international praise and is cited as being "better than the comic". Watchmen is awesome, and Moore has written great stuff, but what right does he have to actually wish ill on other people's work? Specially since his partner in Watchmen, Dave Gibbons, has been so enthusiastic about it and contributed to it. Seems awfully petty.

If people didn't like his comic books he'd be begging for change on the street while talking to himself. Or talking to the Roman snake god he worships I guess.

That'd still better than working in Hollywood. ;)

But personally, I admire him for his stance. Then again, I agree with it. I increasingly find myself just avoiding movies, and regretting it when I don't.

He's like Howard Hughes and Christopher Tolkien wrapped in one.

IOW, he's not so original. Bleh.

"Misunderstood genius." Yeah, right. *Scoffs*

Personally, I want to watch it, but to be brutally honest, I don't want a penny of my ticket purchase goes to Alan Moore's pocket.
