Alan Moore still hates Hollywood

Those hinged rings that cover the entire finger and look like the fingers of a gauntlet.

I'm getting a bit fed up with Moore's stance. I hope to dear Heaven that Watchmen gets released, gets international praise and is cited as being "better than the comic". Watchmen is awesome, and Moore has written great stuff, but what right does he have to actually wish ill on other people's work? Specially since his partner in Watchmen, Dave Gibbons, has been so enthusiastic about it and contributed to it. Seems awfully petty.

I doubt it. 12 issues is a LOT to cover for a 2-3 hour movie. And Moore's use of juxtaposition is masterly; I doubt if the movie will have the depth and insight of the comic.

From the way Hollywood walked all over From Hell and The League of Extraordinary Gentleman, I can see why he's not jaded. That said, I did like V for Vendetta and thought the Wachowski's did a fairly faithful adaptation.

Ahh. I was guessing it was something more like [ame="http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1950025587710766254"]'Lee Press on Nails'[/ame] made from razor blades.

His stance seems more openly hostile than it was before. I read an interview with him a while ago where he seemed more indifferent to the movies based on his work, and even mentioned he might see From Hell at some point. Not sure why he's "spitting venom" on them now, but we must remember that he is quite likely insane.

Yet he loves money, apparently. He's willing to speand those royalty earnings, while bitching about the movies.

I know with Watchmen he made sure to have his name off of it and said he'd give any royalties they tried to give him to Dave Gibbons. Whether this happened with the other movies or not, I don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me.

He's done that with most, if not all the movies made from his books. Anyone that says that he's making money from the adaptations doesn't know what they're talking about.
