The Black Alchemist from Bastion Press's Alchemy & Herbs has:

"Enhanced Illusions: Illusory images of inanimate objects are more sharply defined and focused. Saving throw DCs are at +5 versus an opponent's disbelief or saves."

Would this +5 apply to Phantasmal Killer?

By direct interpretation, no, since Phatasmal Killer makes an illusion of your worst nightmare, unless your worse nightmare is a really bad painting.

I suppose one's worst nightmare could be an inanimate object come to kill them, like a big cube of stone or something falling from the sky. I guess.

In general, people aren't terrified to death of things that just sit there, so I have to say no too.
