Jennifer Garner, who stars as CIA agent Sydney Bristow in the ABC spy drama Alias, is finalizing a new deal that will keep her on the show through the 2007-08 season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The deal will extend Garner's commitment to the Touchstone Television by an additional year, through the show's seventh season, the trade paper reported.

Garner is expected to receive a substantial salary bump under the renegotiation, from an estimated $40,000 per episode to about $150,000 per episode. In addition to her two Emmy nominations, Garner's performance has earned her two Golden Globe nominations and a win in 2002. Alias, which returns for a third season in the fall, airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Sweet news. I was thinking that maybe because she is doing more movies now that Alias may not last more than maybe 4 seasons. This is good news. Actually, I had no idea she was signed through season 6 so I guess this isn't really that big a deal. But still, good to know.

Take out those last two minutes of the season finale, and I'd be excited. But those last two minutes REALLY pissed me off, so I don't know if I'll keep watching it.

I thought they were tremendous. Why didn't you like it?

I guess he's one of those guys that doesn't like it when they screw with characters. Me I loved it. :) Emotional feel for the character of Sydney is what I love in shows, and THIS is one of those moments.

Agreed. I thought it was a complete "holy crap!" moment and can't wait to see the outcome. :)

To me, it was "WHAT THE F-?"

Nevertheless, I am looking forward to the new season and if there are most twists and turns than the last one. To this day, I still cannot believe they eliminated SD-6 but glad they kept the archnemesis around. Arvin Sloan is Sydney Bristow's Moriarty.

I really like the way the show has gone, thought taking down SD-6 was a wonderful suprise and so was the season finale. I can not wait to see what twists and turns the future of this show holds.
