Alien Apocalypse - Anyone else planning on watching ole Ash?

[Hand of Evil]

This was one of the great shows that fox screwed up and cancelled in it's long line of doing so. Man, I loved the opening episode with Pistol Pete having the rock painted to look like the railroad continued on so he could stop the train. Nice homage to the old cartoons and funny as hell to think about. Lord Bowler was funny too. And Comet......damn was that a smart horse, plus the show seemed to have hot chicks just flowing out of the woodwork. I need to go find out if this show is available on dvd or when it will be.

A show that should have been left on air. Like Pete and his schemes and his Pete's piece bits.

i LOVE my wife. she sat there and watch it with me after i told her she could go back to the computer. And that was the high pt of the movie. um. Let see clean chick should used the like follow me because I the only one who knows the secret receipe for soap. Even Evil Dead 1 was better. I hate bad horror movies.

Hmm, I missed this, but given the reviews, maybe that's a good thing. Definitely not everything he touches is a winner (Bubba Hotep really dragged for me), but I really enjoy most of his work.

Just wanted to chime in that if you ever get the chance to meet him, Bruce is a great guy. We got to see him at Origins years ago and played in a Deadlands larp where he played Briscoe County Jr. He was a riot and seemed to have a lot of fun with the whole thing. He was much more comfortable around the gamer type than say James Marsters (Spike).

This movie sucked so, so bad. But I enjoyed it in a "well, there's nothing else on and I have to sit here with the sleeping baby anyway" kind of flick. Pure B-movie schlock, but I can't understand why people expected anything more...?

I enjoy Bruce Campbell quite a bit in whatever he's in.

I thought the trouble with the movie was the tone. On the one hand, you have Bruce Campbell and a fair amount of wise cracking. OTOH, it's not an especially cheerful movie, with casual muder and rape in it.

In a way, like Bubba Hotep. That had some amusing bits, but it was largely a movie about how it sucks to get old. And kinda depressing.

I actually learned something watching it. I had no idea what an Osteopath was before the movie. Now I know.
