Bunch of no-name actors in a contrived setup that breaks previous continuity? This has hack-job written all over it.
The first two Predator movies didn't need anything so "Chariots of the Gods"-esque. They're hunters. They travel to where the prey is. Easy enough. And Aliens just shouldn't be on Earth, PERIOD.RangerWickett said:Yes, because there are so many other original ways to have aliens be on earth.
I'll spot you that Sigourney Weaver wasn't exactly a household name in 1979. But Tom Skerritt was an established actor, Yaphet Kotto had been the bad guy in "Live and Let Die", and Ian Holm was a member of the frickin' Royal Shakespeare Company.Good point, especially because the Alien and Predator movies were always dependent on big name, all-star casts.
