Now to build more on the party & city from AS3 & AS4. We’ll call the city Volan.
The party survived the last encounter with the sailors and they decide to gather some more information about Volan. The party discovers that the local laws are rather loose and the citizens are usually free to do as they like as long as they pay their taxes. The guards only protect the citizens and could care less about non-citizens.
Situation A: The party also finds out that a ship load of slaves just arrived at the docks. The party discovers that most of the slaves will go to the ruler of the town and will be used for the construction of a new palace. The remaining slaves will be sold at auction this afternoon to the highest bidders.
Question 1: How would each party member react to this information?

Situation B: The party decides to go down to the docks to get more information. They find the ship that transported the slaves and there are about 30 slavers escorting the slaves on to the docks and putting them into various groups. The slaves are made up of various races (humans, elves, Halflings, etc.) and range from men and women.
Question 2: How would the party deal with the slavers and slaves?

Situation C: The party decides to go down to the docks to get more information, but the slaves have already been unloaded and there is no one at the ship mentioned. The party then decides to go to where they heard the auction will be held. They just arrive as the first slave is being described for auction. There appears to be about 10 slavers watching over 20 slaves and a crowd of 50 people watching the first slave described.
Question 3: How would the party deal with the slavers, slaves, and crowd?
