Alistra Recovered!

"Well I could pat... I just wouldn't know what I really had unless it poked me or it jingled."

Ezieer might be minorly depressed... now that he is missing his favorite thing.. looting. Well maybe not his favorite thing... his memories of the hot exotic island girls are still intact.

Theodus listens for a bit, glad that Alistra, Uli, and the Captain are alright. After they explain Yalgad's plan, and the others voice their opinions, Theodus speaks up with his own suggestions...

"Y'know, we could prob'ly loot the best o' Yalgad's small stuff 'ere an' then set the manor afire as we go, ta distract Yalgad an' his men..... Then we hurry o'er to th' Duke's place an' warn 'im, see if we can get outta payin' fer passage out o' 'ere since we warned 'im, maybe set the Sorcerer's place afire too as we go back ta th' Avonia, seein' as he seems ta be involved in th' plot an' I knows a mage ain't gonna let 'is precious relics an' such be destroyed...... Ain't likely ta do anythin' fer a bit 'cept work ta put out th' fires in 'is tower. So we git back ta the Avonia an' take 'er back, git the crew on-ship, an' head out.... Maybe do somethin' ta the Beauty then, like detach 'er lines an' planks from the harbor, ta keep Yalgad's men there busy, an' just high-tail it away from this blasted rock afterwards.... O' course we got ta pick up the crew an' Walfibalf's friends on our way back ta the Avonia too..."

Walfilbalf looks dubious of Theo's plan, and a bit scared as well, "Ya know, I don' mind torchin' this place, but I can't say I like tha idea o' messin' wit' dat Sorcerer. I used ta travel wit a powerful wizard named 'Rora, an' she could toss roun' lightnin' bolts and balls of fire from 'er 'ands. Could even fly if'n she wanted ta. I don' think we want someone like dat comin' after us when we're onna boat."

"I'm not too sure many 'mayors' appreciate arson in their cities. I doubt 'The Duke' is any different. T'would nix the burning idea completely I would say. We don't know who the powerful mage is.. so I wouldn't be makin' claims about who it is... someone may be listening as I was told. Lets loot and get out of this place. There were some chests in the other basement... I should still be able to pop em open... and then we can see what is inside. I'd expect some interesting things here as well. And theres that set o' clanky armor... I'm sure that would fetch a pretty penny on the mainland."

Ezieer will suggest the armory gets raided... again. This time including the plate mail armor. Also to arm Alistra and the Captain, I'm assuming Uli can't really hold anything firmly.

He will also ask to be escorted back down into the cellar, there he will finish looting the silverware and silver plates. Afterwards, he will check out the two chests in the other storage room (actions to be determined as needed)

"Well, I'll go with ye, but we best not be takin' too long wit' it. We still gotta ship ta catch, ya know."

Walfilbalf sends a longing glance at the mining tracks, "Don' suppose any o' ye knows where them tracks go ta? Hoy, would I like to catch up with that Yalgy crumb, but he's long-gone by now, fer sure."

He turns back to Ezieer, "Say tha word, an' ah'll take ya on a quick run-round ta pick up some loot while the others get ready."

Walf tosses his bag of rations and waterskin to Azeem, "Doubt they been fed too good, so if they're 'ungry, they can skarf down some o' this. Give 'em strength fer what we're gonna be doin'."

(( There are two secret doors not shown on the map. One is leading from the circular room near where the dire wolverine tried to eat Walf. The second is mounted on tracks and leads into the hallway filled with pock marks on the stone. The pock marks are apparently used as hand holds to pull the door closed from the other side. ))

Theodus sighs. "I don't know what ye plan ta do then fer a distraction or whatnot to delay that scoundrel Yalgad, but I'd sure like ta destroy his ill-gotten gains meself.

I don't think the Duke'd care s'much as a mayor would, least o' all when it comes to a rival what wants ta depose 'im......an' this place's got plenty o' rock fer its base, I don't think a fire 'ere'd spread beyond the manor. Besides that, Yalgad's men'd prob'ly be preoccupied puttin' out th' fire afore it gets too far outside the kip, 'specially with the abundance o' water 'round 'ere.

Might even draw in some o' Yalgad's men from the Beauty or Avonia when they hear 'bout the fire, as we're busy makin' a deal wit' the Duke, so we might 'ave fewer scallywags ta fight through when's we get there. Not that I don't mind a good brawl, but we've kinda worn ourselves out a bit t'day an' we ain't even run o'er to th' Duke's yet nor back ta the Avonia....

Anyways, we'd best get movin' wit' whate'er plan soon, or Yalgad's goin' ta be well along with fulfillin' his own scheme. I suppose we'll leave the Sorcerer's tower out o' the plan, but I still suspect 'e'd be the mage Yalgad's paid off ta 'elp with his coup. That scab o' a barnacle's gotten away a'ready, an' we ain't fast 'nough to catch up, so we can't give 'im what end 'e deserves, we gotta just git off o' this stinking pirate-rock. I've 'ad me fill o' this hive o' scum an' villainy.

Ezieer an' Azeem, seems ye ought ta raid t'other basement whiles Walfibalf loots th' armory, seein' as 'e's the biggest muscle we got, an' I'll guard th' lass while I help this barnacle-brained elf check out t'other doors an' passages 'round 'ere, afore we meet ye back on th' first floor an' head out th' way we came in. The elf thinks 'e's so smart an' observant, 'e can help me raid this basement an' haul any loot, after 'e got the Lady 'ere all singed an' nearly got 'er dead by 'is typical elven selfishness. No complainin' now elf, ye'd best help out now an' maybe ye'll git out o' here wit'out chokin' on me blade.... Lady Karnom, Master Uli, good Captain, ye should go wit' Walfibalf methinks an' arm yerselves or somethin', aye? Azeem an' Ezieer, do ye agree we ought ta burn down Yalgad's kip just before we go out th' door?"

Theodus finishes his long-winded little rant, and waits for a response from the others. After that, he'll fetch the girl from the nearby corridor and bring her to this room, then go about checking the remaining doors and passages of this basement, with Elendil's help most likely, since he and the elf seem to be having some luck in finding secret passages and such lately. He won't go too far down any given passage, wanting to be gone within the next 5 minutes at most, before Yalgad gets too much of a headstart with executing his scheme.

"I don't think we should burn dis place. What of the servants in the backyard... even if their shacks don't go up in smoke... they'll have no place to take care of. I doubt they like their lot in life... but that might take away tha only lot deys got. If that doesn't sway ya, thing o' this... if Yalgad goes down ugly... Yalgad aint going to be living here fer very long. Someone else will probably move in here... probably at the Duke's leave since he's in charge about most things on land. That pretty much makes this house the Dukes if ya follow that logic. Burning down a house dats soon to be his aint going to put you in his good graces and were going to need ta be in the Dukes good graces I figure."
