Got to say I agree with you, daggers are very very useful. Anyone know of a good knife fighter PrC.

There is a dagger-specific PrC in one of the Complete books - is that the Invisible Blade mentioned earlier?

Is that the one that has the drawing of a guy balancing like 3 or 4 daggers on top of each other on his fingertip?

I believe that's the master thrower. The invisible blade pic shows a guy with two daggers facing down a minotaur IIRC.

Daggers are cooler than hand axes and light hammers because you can take one into the king's banquet as a dinner tool when all other weapons are prohibited.
I did that a few weeks ago.

You can also use Sleight of Hand to conceal a dagger. My Shadowdancer carries a couple of them under his cloak, and one under his skin (tattoo item from Relics & Rituals) in case he's strip-searched by captors.

One of my favourite PCs (and a common NPC whenI DM) is a Knifethrowing 'Juggler' (Fighter/Rogue) named Mendoza La Tigre. His 3e incarnation his high dex and with as many feats, custom abilities and magic enhancements as possible to make him a knifethrowing machine

its a pity that daggers in DnD suck damage-wise

oh and all my Psychic Warrior characters carry keen Kukri's (for some reason they just associate in my mind)
