Simply that they could ration out their daily allotment of damage dice... you know... if you they had 6d6, they could do six 1d6 blasts, or two 3d6 blasts, etc...

I made trhat ability into a feat called Control Breathe weapon. It does exactly that, the only prerequite is dragon blood.

That works too... I just try to avoid making new feats... as there are soooooooooo freaking many as it is...

I understand, but I consider the ability to divide up the breathe weapons to be pretty powerful. It wasn't an ability I wanted to freely give.

If you are willing to trust the playtesting I did with that rule... then trust me, it's NOT a particularly powerful ability... useful and nifty perhaps... but not powerful enought to warrant burning a feat.

Sounds good, if it ever comes up again I'll remeber to just give them that ability.

Ya, it's pretty simple

Control Breathe Weapon (Dragon Feat)
Prerequite: Dragon Blood and the ability of a Breath Weapon
Benefit: Instead of using you full breathe weapon, you can opt to divide it up into smaller doses. The smaller doses must be equal to or less then your total breathe weapon dice.
Example: A Half Silver Dargon can breathe a cone of cold 1/day for 6d8. With this feat they can use their breathe weapon multiple times a day, but the total dice cannot exceed 6d8.
