Alter Self and change of size

The ability scores do not change when using spell Alter Self. Does that mean that also when characters size change (small character altering himself to medium form), the abilities remain unchanged?

Your ability scores stay the same even when changing size.

Do you mean your +1 to hit and avoid being hit for being small? That does go away because your no longer small so you take the hit and ac bonuses of your new size category.

I assume Noldor Elf is asking about the +2 Str and -2 Dex that usually accompanies a change in size.
