Alternate HP Progression (PEACH)

A bit of context,
I am about to begin a new campaign for D&D 5th edition in a custom setting that will enforce a level cap of 12 for non god-like beings (so high level abilities and spells will not be available).

While planning I realized that the normal HP progression curve is too steep so I was planning to change it and I would like to know your opinion about this house rule.

The house rule is simply this: Every character will get 1 extra maxed HD worth of HP at level 1 but will get 1 less hp every level than usual.

  • PC will have more HP before level 7 losing a bit toward the end (Max 5 HP for the d6 wizard)
  • The HP progression become a fixed +25% of their starting HP
  • From level 1 to 12 the HP growth on average goes from 100% to 425% for every class instead of 100% to 833% (d6), 788% (d8), 760% (d10) or 742% (d12)
Note: The Extra HD is only an HP boost, it does not alter the healing rules nor is affected by the CON modifier.

These are the supposed effects but I may be missing some bug or side effect and this is why I am asking your opinion.
