Alternate Ranger Classes?

I'm looking for alternate ranger class options. Specifically, one that is less focused on spellcasting and/or animal empathy/companions.

The only alternates I've found are in Complete Warrior and Unearthed Arcana. Anyone know of any others?

My favorite is wildscape:

1) Uses the existing ranger as a baseline, so you can plug into existing material that uses rangers (e.g., adventure NPCs, options, etc.)
2) New "combat styles" give the ranger a great degree of variety; not all "combat styles" are really combat styles, and some make a lot of sense for particular terrains and cultures (like a runner combat style for a plains-runner type character)
3) Styles can be expanded by trading in your spellcasting abilities.

It's on sale for $5 at DTRPG:

Unorthodox Rangers by The Le Games has five Ranger Class variants. Not sure if any will exactly fit what you're looking for, but I've been impressed with the quality of the The Le Games products I've read to date, and for $2, it's tough to go wrong. Even if you decide not to use something as written, the variations might give you an idea or two to use to build your own.

The Ranger class from the Black Company's Campaign Setting is interesting. Varied combat styles, Terrain mastery instead of favored enemy, and ambush (toned-down sneak attack). No animal companions or spellcasting.

There is also the Sentinal

Its sort of like the Fighter in that it gets a lot of "slots" where you can plug in any special ability you want from a list of 140 different ones, including all the classic ranger abilities. Many of them have prerequisites and stack up like talent trees and feat chains. you can make a ranger with a lot of spells, a few spells or no spells at all. You can have no spells, but some spell-like abilities instead. You can make just about any sort of woodland character you can imagine.

You shouldn't have too much trouble. The Iron Kingdoms Primer had a good one that I liked a lot. Here's a list of ones online I know of:

Make sure you look at the House Rules forum as well. There are a ton of others, just try looking on Google. There are so many of them out there, I'm surprised there isn't an alternate ranger website. That and elf subraces!

If you don't mind doing some conversion, and have access to it, there is a class in the d20 Wheel of Time book called the Woodsman - has favored terrains, gains Weapon Spec. at level 6, and has 6 skill points/level, and some other features I forget at the moment.
