Am I alone?

Yes, Mr. "All Chips and a bag of that", you are all alone. You are the only player in the history of D&D to never have played those modules. ;)

(sorry, just had to use that name on you... )

Nah...

I own a lot of those classic modules. Have never run any of them, have never played in any of them.

Here's an open call to any gamers in the Ames, IA area:

I will pay half of the price of "THE WORLD'S LARGEST DUNGEON" if you run me through it.

Therefore, I won't miss out on this "classic." I own most of the other classics from various bygone D&D eras, I don't want to miss out on this one.

Well, ive been playing for 6 years, since the beginning of highschool, aaaand ive played a good majority of these and LOVED them. Isle of Dread (my fav.), White plume mountain (and the Return to), Against the Giants, Temple of E. Evil, the one in the desert with the magic flying ship (i think its the Pharohs Tomb?) and the first 3 or so rooms in Tomb of Horrors (got massacred, was a blast).... they were great, i love those old modules, so much better than these piles of **** theyre producing now.... :D

How can you call the Dark Sun modules forgettable? With one exception, those hold some grand memories for my gaming group when we played them.

Probably has nothing to do with the modules themselves, and a lot to do with my boring GM in college. That, and I really never cared for the setting.

I've played White Plume Mountain, and the Return thereof. I've read Tomb of Horrors, and the Return thereof.

That's it for me. I've only really been playing since 3e; the Planescape game I'm in will probably bring in the various adventures for that.

I've only played a few and I enjoyed them. They were, however, modified slightly to fit into existing campaigns. The real question is, which ones do you think should be on there and weren't?

Definitely not alone. I've only played a handful of published modules. More often than not, I write my own adventures. I did play island of dread, though.
