Round 10

Caleb noted that the guards seemed to have no trouble targeting him in the darkness. He moved right and dropped his darkness to let Princess be able to see. He slashed at one of the guards with his confiscated sword.

The Princess is bathed in darkness except for a small bubble of light around her as The Shadow floats to the top of the ladder. She hears the retort of five weapons firing presumably at The Shadow. Suddenly she can see again so she swiftly climbs the ladder. At the top she aims at the largest cluster of minions not including The Shadow and speaks, "Sunny Rays of Chromatic Goodness". A cone of blinding light flashes at the group of minions.
OOC: Skill Check [roll0] vs DC 15 is full power
9 ranks of blinding light hit the minions Fort save DC 19 to avoid the effect

The Gigantic Robot started to lean back, jets screaming into life.
"Please make sure your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright position. Make sure your seat belt is securely fastened and all carry-on luggage is stowed. Thank you for flying Centurion Airlines!" Blared the Mech's speakers, Felix planed to have the robot lean backwards, as far as it could while still climbing and clearing the city's skyline, then aiming to land on the far side of the mountains.

Suddenly the firewall is pieced, if only for a second, and Felix gains control of the Doomsday Robot!! Or at least partial control and the giants huge jet blaster boots are fired up and the monstrosity blasts into the air with a sudden jerk! Alarms and warning sirens blare throughout the robot’s interior. Within his peripheral vision a small icon area and then Felix sees a digital display appear before him… one of Doctor Apocalypse himself!!! “You fool! You think you have won? You have only sealed your own doom!! HAHAHHAHA” and then it disappears to be replaced by a digital clock racing down from 30 seconds…

The Shadow struck one of the guards in the back as he reform himself from the shadows, knocking the man back into a control panel and sending sparks flying. Princess Starlight stuck her head up out of the access port and flashed a trio of the guards on the opposite end of the room. Two of the screamed as they found themselves blinded by the attack. The Silver Streak, having seen none of this down below while he was racing about the room waiting for the access latter to be cleared, while Kitsune’s illusion past through the pair of heroes on the stairs as she made ready to ascend herself (but invisible of course).

The two last guards fired automatic lasgun shots at both Princess Starlight and the Shadow but the both missed their targets, curing their luck and calling for aid. The two blinding ones seemed stunned for a the moment! The giant robot continued flying up and away from the city…

23 – Kitsune
20 – Princess Starlight
19 – The Shadow
15 – Doomsday Robot and Soldiers

[sblock=Rolls]Feliex has control of the robot this turn and the secondary guns for at least a minute. You need a new Technology roll 25 to keep it moving away from the city or the crew in the cockpit will turn it back next round. The ‘countdown’ is the DC 30 access point…
The Shadow hit guard #5, Toughness save: 1D20+6 = [16]+6 = 22, but did not make a 24 so he is out!!
Princess Starlight flashes Guards 1-3, Dodge save: 1D20+5 = [7]+5 = 12; 1D20+5 = [2]+5 = 7; 1D20+5 = [18]+5 = 23, #1 & 2 failed and are blinded, #3 made it and is ok.
Guard #3 and 4 need to make their Will saves vs. the Princess aura, Will save: 1D20+3 = [14]+3 = 17; 1D20+3 = [19]+3 = 22, they both made it!!

Guard #3 shots at Princess Starlight, #4 shots at the Shadow, Attack rolls: 1D20+6 = [13]+6 = 19; 1D20+6 = [4]+6 = 10, both missed!!! [/sblock]

The Shadow

Round 11

“Good job, kid,” Shadow said as Princess blinded two of the guards. He moved up to the two who could still see, slashing with his sword.

The Princess finishes climbing up to the next floor and shoots at guard three as The Shadow seems to have guard four taken care of. "Radiant Blazing Laser Beam" she announces.
OOC: Check required [roll0] DC 15
Attack ranged [roll1] vs dodge
8 ranks, DC 23 Toughness save needed.

"Ladder is clear" she calls to down below.

Felix's fluffy lil neck got fluffier as the the fact the mad man was not bluffing sank in. Sadly he had no idea just how massive the blast would be. Just the robot? setting it to fly high would be fine, but the odds of an aerial detonation being just fine and dandy was unacceptable. he might end up trying to crash it into the mines, or get it to rip it's own core out and crush it before it hit critical mass. No way that could bite him in the butt...
in the meantime Felix set the robot to cork screw tighter and tighter as he tried to get it near vertical, he was going for altitude...
"Call Chief" Felix monotoned, assuming he got through expediently, he would Quickly ask, over the Chief of police if necessary. "Are the mines Cleared?" in a deliberately calm, and even tone.
Meanwhile the suit slowly, deliberately, raised it's arms and pressed hard into the ceiling: would it mess up the suit's hands to do superficial damage to the Robot? yes. Would it make sure the Suit would not leave the terminal. In short moments he might have to prime and detonate the bolts...

Felix maintained control of the giant robot’s piloting systems and continued to fly the monstrosity north… towards the mines!!! He was also able to unlock part of the security protocols of the destruct sequence on the bomb. Lifting his arms up to bent the metal of the flooring somewhat out of shape but didn’t do anything serious. The Silver Streak raced about on the same level as Felix examining the interior for any clues. Kitsune started climbing the latter and sent her illusion into the chamber above. No one attacked it as they were focusing on the Shadow at the time. Princess Starlight fully climbed out from the latter hatch and blasted one of the troopers but his armor deflected most of the blow!!! The Shadow was fighting the other, missing the man once but his follow up strike cut the man down and sent him reeling to the world.

The last guard, laughing madly, unleashed a barrage of laser bolts into Princess Starlight!

GM: Initiative
38 – Felix
24 – Silver Streak
23 – Kitsune
20 – Princess Starlight
19 – The Shadow
15 – Doomsday Robot and Soldiers

[sblock=Rolls]Feliex continues to control the robot and makes the first success for disarming the bomb (3 more required). You can try and damage the interior of the robot but it has its full toughness as overall it is still heavily armored inside. Toughness save: 1D20+16 = [6]+16 = 22, failed by one degree so it is -1 for Future Toughness saves.
Silver Streak is still running around down below so I will give him a Perception check to look around and examine stuff
Kitsune is moving up the latter her image already in the room above but no one is paying it much attention and the Prince and the Shadow are attacking everyone.
Princess Starlight shots one of the guards, Toughness save: 1D20+6 = [20]+6 = 26, natural 20 he is still standing!!
The Shadow missed with his first attack and the second attack hits, Toughness save: 1D20+6 = [16]+6 = 22, wow that one almost made it also but not quite a 22, so he is out.
There are still 1 up in this chamber!!

He shots at Princess Starlight, Ranged attack roll: 1D20+6 = [17]+6 = 23, he hits with one degree of success. Princess Starlight needs to make a Toughness save DC 21 (remember you are still -1 to your Toughness saves).
