I've ordered a number of Pathfinder books from Amazon. I recently cancelled an order because the wait was going to be 2-3 months. Are these books which have been in print for some time now in that much demand? Is Paizo holding out?

We aren't holding out anything. The Core RPG is currently sold out (the reprint should be in come November), as are several of the Rise of the Runelords adventures, but everything else is available for Amazon to order through their distributor. And given the demand and popularity of the Core RPG... I suppose it's certainly possible they've had a run on Pathfinder support products.
Whether or not they'll reorder the ones they're out of and why they will or won't is up to Amazon, of course.
Thanks James. That was actually a joke. I know it's their fault not yours. Supply and demand kind of thing. I imagine they didn't expect so much interest in Pathfinder.
Look at it this way. It makes me come to your site to buy directly.
At the Games Plus auction this last weekend a Pathfinder core book sold for $35, a set of the first three 4E books sold for $38 and a set of three core 3.5 books sold for $42. There were some other sales of individual books from both 4E and 3.5E, and when the auction was all over there were left over books from both that the seller probably set too high an opening bid on (often $25 for a single book). There were also a slew of 3.0E PHs, MMs and DMGs that didn't sell at any price (opening bid often $1).
