Amber: RPG Dice Roller

First Post
Well, my niece is discovering the wonderful world of Dungeons & Dragons. It's awesome to know that my interest in Fantasy illustration has sparked a similar interest in her. Anyway, it's up to me to teach her how to play and I honestly haven't played in years.. We're talking since TSR owned the game and before the whole D20, or 3.5 changes..

So, I've been trying to relearn this... Being the computer age, I went online to help find some tools for character creation and dice rollers. While they were all functional most weren't very nice to look at or they were embedded in someone's webpage.

So I thought I'd create a dice roller for us to use in our games and Amber RPG die roller was born:

It lets you chose the die type, the number of dice and the modifier. Plus the ability to add mutiple types together and see the results of each individual die.

It's come in pretty handy and it's really small in size.

I hope you find it useful! Also any crits on improving it are always welcome...

i really like it! is there a way to add a sound effect (of actual dice rolling). when my players hear it they know i'm rolling for something. creates a nice tension.

Very cool. :)

The only suggestion I would recommend upping the max number of dice available with d6's. Cone of Cold can go up to a max of 15d6. :)

The D3 .......

You need the D3 or just a blank spot where a die would be on a new row and let the user enter a number there for a d-side.

Nice looking piece! I agree, a sound effect would be cool, although only icing on the cake. The max number of dice thing does need to be raised, though. 15 is a good number. D3 isn't too important to most games, but it would be nice as well.

What you must have never played a mage.

Acid Splash 1d3

I never played a mage that used Acid Splash, I admit. Easy enough to use d6 in person, but a d3 would be nice on the roller.
