A quick gift to my bud Scapegoat using reapers purple steel and some purple higgins ink. His scanner favours blue so i monkeyed with the image colour a bit. Sulaco on wotc boards helped me clean it up further.

Big golem Looking to the right
Step 1; I took a MK11 Dragon's gate # 028, 029, 030 Magestone Guardian popped him off the click base and tossed him onto an 1.5 inch metal washer.
2. Base coated the fig Reaper purple steel which i had mixed long ago with higgin's purple ink to darken.
3. Mixed Higgin's purple ink with Aleen's clear paint-on gloss coat. i added a drop of both anita's extender and higgin's blue ink to get closer to reaper purple steel. {higgins purple ink is almost dead on grape juice color.] I just slopped on the ink & gloss mix.
4.Lightly dry brushed the reaper purple steel over the mini in raised areas. i missed several places, but it scanned better because of this.
5. Dotted the eyes with a toothpick using Anita's titanium gold.
6. painted base light brown. once dried i painted on white glue and sand coated the base.
7. Heavy gloss coat.
When the pick was scanned the thick purple glaze I used [#3]caught the light and more or less made the gemstone 'fire' you see in some of the pics.
