Ampersand hot hot days of Summer

Keeping it quiet until GenCon is about getting maximum media exposure for the news. Why release it of it earlier, the timing has to be right and it is all about marketing.

I really cannot see why you have a problem with them keeping some things secret until they are ready to announce it; if that means delaying the announcement until there is a big Con then so be it.

Make perfect sense to me.

I guess its just my point of view. I'm honestly not trying to be an a-hole, I guess I just expect more of an event from WoTC at Gencon than an announcement of something for next year.

I guess I just feel like to accept otherwise is just rewarding mediocrity!

The idea is that it builds up excitement and helps spread the word once it is out. And excitement and better spreading means more of the target audience is reached and is interested in buying.

It's used in tons of industries. "We will reveal the new model of our car line on the International Automobile Producer Mess in 2011". "We have to have the software ready for presentation on the Photokina!"
