Amusing House Rules

Okay, so after a night filled with reformatting an ancient Microsoft Works file to become a d100 table, I present to you...

Death...Hollywood Style!

Disclaimer: Some adult language and tons of bad puns included. You have been warned.

Aw man, I love it!! I love how some results have random die rolls related to them ("The body spews out 1d8 pints of blood, then dies.") and I love the sub-random tables for other results (especially the "coitins" one).

The Mister Falcon reference was a great surprise. I thought that was a reference only my brothers and I use! (We also like to use "Yippie-kai-yay, melon farmer!”, another safe for nework TV version that we saw.)

Along those lines, I never saw/heard it, but there's always the classic double option presented in "I'm tired of all these monkey-fighting snakes on this Monday-Friday plane!"

If you roll the dice and they fall off the table, they are rerolled. If you roll the dice and manage to get one so far off the table that you can't find it, the roll automatically fails.

If you roll into the table and knock over / move / cause any problems with the markers on the map, the DM is in charge of putting things back in the right place. And if a number of enemies end up suspiciously closer to you than before, you are allowed no recourse or appeal.

I ran a con game entitled The League of Extraordinary Barbarians (PCs: Conan, He-man, Xena, Wonder Woman, Rambo and Thor).

To encourage wackiness, there was a stuffed squid in the middle of the table. Anyone could take the squid and use it for broad narrative control. However, to take the squid, you must do so in a manner that is less civilized than the last person to take the squid.

Civility brakes down rather quickly under this set of incentives...
