Yeah, you should have gotten that with the comp. Start with tech support, they used to have a 'resource CD' and a 'recovery CD' and they may have combined them or something. Resource was drivers and apps, recovery was the windows disk.
Good luck getting that, I won't go into the details, but don't let them send you to spare parts. If you have your bill of materials for the order (the itemized receipt), it should show the recovery disk on there. If it's not on there, you might have missed the 'send me the disk' checkbox when you ordered or something. If it is on there, then you have the part number and cust supp can send it.
p.s. michael dell's personal email is mike@dell.com he won't read it, but 'the office of michael dell' will, and you bet it gets resolved ASAP. Main thing is to include how many times you've called, how much time you've lost, and how many reps you've talked to (feel free to exaggerate a little, not too much)...I think they hear the cha-ching, cha-ching sound when you say you talked to another rep or called back or got transferred.
