Hello EN World. I'm a long time browser, and I finally plucked up the courage to join the site. There wasn't really an introductory thread to post in, so this will serve two purposes.

I've had a controller in my hands ever since I can remember. My first game of course being Mario. Growing up playing video games however is of course a lot different from Tabletop games. I didn't even know what D&D was until I was 10. I'd heard the name before, but never really had an explanation on what it was. When I was 14 (almost 15) is when I first got to play in a D&D game (3.5). Since then, I've played in Vampires: The Masquerade, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Pathfinder, heavily involved in MTG (not a tabletop, I know, but still counts as gaming I think). I've had a PS1, PS2, N64, Gamecube, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Supernintendo, NES, Gameboy Color, Xbox 360, played a PS3, and spent years devoted to WoW (unfortunately). In short, games have been a part of my life for a long time. I've witnessed Savage Worlds play before, as well as Warhammer 40K and Call of Cthulhu, but I never wanted to play them because I was jaded to believe that D&D and WoD were the only good games out there (damn my early gamer group).

Needless to say, I enjoy games. But now that I'm 21, a father and husband, I see myself doing other things. Would I still have time for gaming, sure. But as much? I don't think so. I think it's more something that'll wait until my child(ren) is(are) older (we have 1, thinking of another). So in this final stretch (for a while anyways) of gaming, I decided to do something for every other gamer who enjoys it as much as I do. I took to designing an RPG. It's post apocalyptic survival-horror. Why? Because it's a decent genre, with a large crowd who enjoy it, and it's the sort of thing I'm good at writing.

Because I'm a father, a husband, and a full-time employee though, I've found the time I can dedicate to this project to be limited. I would love for nothing more than this game to see a home on many bookshelves or computers of other gamers. But I find myself falling behind in development. So although it's shameless in a way, I've been seeking others with experience in RPG developement to team up with. Could I do it myself? Sure, but I'm afraid if it takes to long, I'll choose to forgo it to be with my family, and resent the hobby for having devoted time to not finish something. Time that I could have spent with my family.

So I'm seeking out individuals who have had experience with RPG development. Either professionals, or amateurs I have no quarrel with either. I'm also researching different methods of funding (Kickstarter being the main one, but development is still in Alpha, and I have no artist, so feel it is inappropriate to start a kickstarter at this time). If you are interested in having a hand in creating something for others to enjoy, please PM me. If you can offer any advice in this thread, I'd be grateful. If you can show me the way to resources to help ease the development, provide links to interviews with the professionals, helpful hints or tips, I would also be grateful (things like this seem to be hard to find for me). I hope to hear from some of you, as I would greatly appreciate taking this journey with others.

I'm happy to be here with such a diverse community.
