After leaving for a short while(About half an hour, while people nap/get ready), James returns "The monks have prepared a meal for us, if you'll follow me." Leading them back to the main hall, there is a table set with a chair for each of them, and a fair feast.. at least by the monks standards. Much better than any inn, but not quite what the more well-off among the group would be used to.
To the inevitable questioning of why they would be spending time like this that could be better spent riding, James shakes his head and smiles
"Haste is not always the best idea. It may be some time before we have a chance to relax again, or eat as well as this. The extra half hour or so we would gain by leaving immediately would mean, in the long run, nothing. Eat, be patient, and don't rush."
