Pathfinder 1E An open letter to Paizo

This isn't so much a joke about drug use as it is a doll that belongs in a head shop, not the online store where my friend's 13yr old looks around for cool stuff for his birthday.

Point taken. I guess I won't buy from Paizo then.

I haven't purchased from Paizo in the past, but maybe I should now. I dunno. I don't have problems with jokes about drug use, so I guess somebody has to make up for lost sales to people who do have that problem.

um this was probably the wrong response to make. Statements like this are just going to start a flame war.

And BTW I too am a therapist and have seen my fair share of people who have their lives (and the lives of those whom they associate with) ruined by drugs. I don't find things like this tasteful.

I understand that Paizo needs to make a living...however I am dissapointed by this product.

I can't say I really agree with Firebeetle's reaction (drug issues and mod-baiting political discussion aside, I'm a guy who'd buy from a company that sold "Stabby the Happy Serial Killer" dolls without blinking), these "Poser" dolls are drastically idiotic. I can't understand why these things would exist, much less be sold by Paizo. These dollar store rejects hurt to freaking look at.

This thread started off inflammatory. If people want to make inflammatory comments without a response, they should create a Web page, not post on a message board, especially if the original post is "I disagree with something, so your company shouldn't sell it to anyone."

The OP is not my parent. I have two. They do not need his help.

I should disclose that I'm already not a customer of Paizo because I don't buy 3E products anymore.

Which is the tiniest fraction of what they have available for sale anyway.

I have to second the comment wondering why you're posting this here. You don't approve of the item and that's fine, but why not post on Paizo's message board or, better yet, send them an email with a copy of your receipts showing them just how much money they will lose if they continue selling this type of merchandise. Posting a "I'm so mad!" thread at a different website seems silly.

I completely abstain from both drugs and booze, but I don't have anything against people that don't. Let others make their own decisions about such things.

There is the issue that the dolls are black, so maybe they support a harmful stereotype. Aside from that, I don't see an issue.
