An Open letter to the D&D R&D team.

SO now I am hearing that in addition to the monthly fee (justifiable) there will be a fee you pay to "activate" the code from a hard copy book in the online format. Am I getting this right?

If so, this doesn't bode well to the over all thinking I am seeing from the team.

If you want folks to use the service and enjoy a predictable recurring revenue stream, you do not create barriers to entry.

To my mind, this would turn away the majority of the pen and paper gamers that adopt 4e from ever trying the online utilities.

I know nothing is set in stone yet so I hope this is misinformation.

Yes. It has been said, there would be a nominal fee; something like 1$.
