An Ordinary Human Into A God

some say if you kill agod, you take his place. Others say you have to amass thousnds, or tens or even hundred of thousnads of whorsipers. Some some you need to quest for a god maker like artifact, or petition the gods themselves. Others say that one just has to amass enough power, or insight, or be true to oneselve completely.

THere is no one way, and there are more ways then I have listed. Assuming it is possible at all.

Ascendant? What does that class benefit?

Evidently becoming a god, which seems like a nice benefit. :D

Do you mind posting what you have done so far? If not here, then in house rules?

I check the Ascendant class and that class got so many advantages. It's also includes a divine rank.

a divine rank is needed to become a god assuming you are using those rules in D&Dg

Well, the thing is, gods have portfolio elements, but some other god already has those elements. Most of the godly elements are pretty well divided up. I usually require my players to kill the god, killing a god and claiming his element makes you the new of God of (whatever).

D&D is basically silent on this question. So it really becomes a question for the GM based on the specific characteristics of the universe he has designed. In games I run, there are absolutely no conditions under which mortals can become gods.

But there are many options; the Roman Senate, for instance, used to vote gods into being.
