Anarchic and Axiomatic ECL?

They are not listed in Savage Species, but I believe they are analagous to the fiendish and celestial templates, but of which are ECL +2.

Would these templates (from Manual of the Planes) also give ECL +2 to a character?

Anarchiac is far better for PC's than for monsters. Fast healing: 2 I believe? Fast healing is a huge ability and one of the few that make ECL races worth it.

(Whoever ECl'ed the Feral template was on crack. I'd give up a level for Fast Healing 2, no questions asked. I get all this other nice stuff too? Well sign me up!)

Axiomatic doesn't have much that'd make it anything more than a 2.

Anarchic gives energy resistance 5 vs all energy types- very good with the feat that increases already existing energy resistance by 10.

At 4 HD they get fast healing 1; at level 8 it is 3, and at level 12 it is 5 points of fast healing, plus damage reduction 5/+1.

I'm thinking of making an anarchic PC who is a druid 5/shifter 4. Preferred shape: Troll.

Half-dragon or half-fiend would also work, but at a higher ECL.

I would rate the Axomatic as the following. I round up from .5 and down from .4. Each step shows the base ECL without spell resistance calculated in. The template gives SR equal to double the creature's HD. For each point of SR over 10, add +0.1 to the base ECL to determine the final ECL. For example, at 4 hit die, SR does not surpass 10, so it is worth nothing. At 6 hit die, the creature would gain SR 12, so you would add +0.2 to the base of 0.8, which would still net you only a +1 ECL. At 20 hit die, the creature would have SR 25 (the maximum allowed by the template), which would give it a total ECL of +3 (1.2 for the base + 1.5 for the SR, equals 2.7 rounded up to 3).

HD 1-3 = +1 (0.6)
HD 4-7 = +1 (0.8 + SR)
HD 8-11 = +1 (1.0 + SR)
HD 12+ = +1 (1.2 + SR)

I'm sure there's an easier way to figure out when the ECL would jump based upon the creature's current SR, but I didn't bother. Should be easy though.
