And now for something completely different

No aliens this time. Just some sketch stuff for "Sacred Ground."

You ar looking at the grand spirit of death, souls, decay, entropy, love, and protector of children. His name is Daos, the Dark One, and he allows no evil within his domain (the entire continent of Talaka). He cannot directly act against evil, but he can manipulate events to bring heroes to the forefront and and emerge from ordinary folk.

Here is a Haranyu Chete woman utilizing one of her spirit flame powers, Wings of the Soul, something only the Haranyu Chete are capable of.
I was going with a Miyazaki-esque look to all of the Haranyu, while keeping a more traditional style with the other natives of Talaka and the Drigish, and I've been told I achieved that look with the Haranyu.

This is a Neshomaka and her Maka clutchmates. The little guys are about 5 or so, and the woman is about 17. That puts her as an elder clutchmate, while her parent in the back is probably about 90 or so. The Neshomaka all look human, and they're a little like mutant sahuagin in that they look human (instead of like a sea elf). They're not evil, though. In fact, they're heavily good aligned, but more in contact with their primal essences than other races.
The woman is dressed in traditional Kushinurva sari and headpiece.

But, Ssshhhh, keep quiet......No one's supposed to know that the Maka are real, much less that they're capable of blending in among humans......

URG. I'm not happy with her left hand AT ALL.

Now we have Amrita Singh and her Cobra familiar Bikram. She runs a shop in Rapali, capital of Drigish controlled Osandad. She wears the traditional sari.
She gets so many Drigish into her shop that she's come to utter the same words whenever one comes in:
"Yes, this is a live king cobra, and yes, it is heavy. Now, are you going to buy something or stare all day?"

Here is a Guru's disciple. He will walk several weeks barefoot to reach a hermitage wearing these beads and black dhoti.

His arms and chest need work. The dhoti is something I still need practice with. He's not even wearing it the traditional way, but it's very confusing to work out the details.

And here is Koma, the Dasho without a cause. Koma is suffering from amnesia (hence the name without-past, time comes first, so it's literally past-without). She knows who she is and what she's supposed to be doing, and is just frightened about how to live without sixteen years of her life.

Here's the color one... (not as good as yours :Grins:)

Not to hijack your thread... I think I have one around here but it died. :Grins;

Those last two you did are my favorites.. very nice character design... the first is very simple but very.... I don't know.. graceful. The second one is just very original but still seems organic and.. pardon the word.. pretty.
